1. ROLE:
This is a newly created role to support Depauls ambitious new
strategic plan ?A Path Home **Apply on the website**?. Working
with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to drive a new
community fundraising strategy that will work across all regions of
the Republic of Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team at a very

of Ireland.
2. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Devise, implement and evaluate an annual Community Fundraising
Plan, as part of Depaul?s Fundraising Strategy, in conjunction with
the Fundraising Team.
* Plan and deliver effective, exciting and appropriate fundraising
activities for community groups and schools.
* Maintaining relationships with Depaul?s network of community
fundraising individuals and groups, as well as developing new key
relationships as per agreed objectives.
* Achieve agreed income targets and return on investment.
* Ensuring the day to day running of recurrent community fundraising
activities as well as assessing the suitability and feasibility of
proposed new community fundraising activities and supporting the
delivery of selected activities.
* Roll out and management of full community events schedule
including in-person and digital community fundraisers.
* Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to
support local fundraising.
* Work closely with regional colleagues to involve them in building
relationships with supporters and support with fundraising activities
as required.
* Provide advice and support to those who are engaged in raising
funds for Depaul throughout Ireland.
* Act as an ambassador for fundraising in each region and build
awareness of the benefits of fundraising for Depaul and those we
serve.
* Provide content for Depaul?s communications channels, e.g.
newsletters, e-newsletters and social media.
* Contribute to the creation of fundraising materials and resources
for use regionally or nationally, as required.
* Work closely with the Depaul fundraising team and contribute to
the achievement of the overall fundraising strategy.
* Attend fundraising and other events as required, potentially in a
wide range of locations requiring travel. This may involve some
weekend and evening work.

3. PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
* A third level degree in communications, business/marketing, liberal
arts or another humanities subject is essential.
* Minimum of two years? fundraising experience in the charity
sector.
* Experience of fundraising in local communities is desirable.
SKILLS
* Proven record of organising events.
* Understanding of digital fundraising events.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including
content creation.
* Advanced Word and PowerPoint skills in addition to experience
using a CRM system.
* Collaborative, relationship building approach to working with
colleagues within own and other departments and externally.
